In fact most of the victims that survive life threatening situation have no survival training at all. Survival training without the correct mental attitude is use less to even the most intelligent individuals. Having survival skills is important; having the will to survive is crucial. There is a lot of psychology that goes along with survival. A person in a survival situation faces many stresses that will ultimately have impact on his/ her mind. These stresses can produce and emotions that, if poorly controlled, can transform a confident, well-trained survivalist into an indecisive, ineffective individual with a questionable ability to survive. Consequently, every person must be aware of and able recognize the stresses commonly associated with survival. Moreover, it is imperative that you should be aware of your reactions to a wide variety of stresses associated with survival.

The ability to manage these inevitable stresses is key to your survival.
